Scouting in Northamptonshire
Beaveree 2009
What a Fabulous Day!
The weather was warm and sunny as hundreds of Beaver Scouts came through the Gates of Overstone Park. They were greeted with the most amazing sight, as they saw hundreds of Cub Scouts already enjoying themselves. The excitement built as the Beavers knew that very shortly they were to join in with the wealth of activities before them.
This was the first joint County Cub Camp and Beaveree, building on the previous successes of County Cub Camps before. On the day of the Beaveree there were over 2000 people on site having a wonderful time (well most of them were!).
There were loads of activities to do including crafts, climbing, crossbows, Electric Karts and giant inflatables to name but a few. What a wonderful end to our action-packed day with a very entertaining story-teller followed by a magical camp fire.
I am sure many Beavers went home extremely tired, but very happy. I have already had many positive comments and many parents wished they could have stayed too.
