County Cub Camp and Beaveree 2011

Over the weekend of 17th-19th June 2011, over 2000 Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts and their Leaders got together at Overstone Park, for what has now become a regular event in the Northamptonshire County Scouts diary.

We also had a visiting contingent of Cub Scouts and their leaders from Norfolk who took part in our event. They have invited us to take part in their County Cub Camp in 2012 – details available from the download section of our website.

Despite a very varied selection of weather, a great time was had by all.

Kim Pearce ACC Beaver Scouts and Karen Malcolmson ACC Cub Scouts were both presented with their Awards of Merit at the opening ceremony, in the pouring rain by County Commissioner Tony Keay. The element of surprise was kept until the very last moment, and many have said that a unique event was witnessed, as both Karen and Kim were speechless.

A weekend full of fun and activities.
