Training

Welcome to the Northamptonshire Scouts Adult Training Team (NSATT) pages.

As we develop our pages, we will provide training information in terms of modules required for roles, validation, and training news.

Structure

County Training Manager (CTM)

Liaises with County Team to lead the strategy for the county provision of adult training, including flexibility, delivery methods, quality of learning, validation and support.

Local Training Managers (LTM)

Provide each district with a first point of contact for all enquiries in respect of adult training and validation. The LTMs support a team of Training Advisers (TAs) in their district to support adults working through the Adult Training Scheme.

Trainers

The trainers in the team provide delivery of modules on behalf of CTM and LTMs. Modules can be delivered at County or District level and can be delivered of an evening or a weekend morning or afternoon. They can be standalone modules or grouped together to form a course.

Attending modules ensures that learners:

• are aware and understand current Policy, Organisation and Rules (POR), national and county policy and best practices;
• can ask / answer questions (by trainers or themselves);
• identify and share support, programme idea’s and best practices; and
• can understand, evidence and validate knowledge gained in training putting it into practice in their groups / sections / districts.
